Aiden's birthday. I had already picked out his cake MONTHS ahead. But when the November challenge was announced I thought, "Well, I guess he'll have Caramel Cake instead". It bothered me for weeks...because I wanted to make the original cake, but I couldn't justify two big cakes! I finally realized I needed to bake what *I* want to bake. And I have thought the same thing with the DB - I only made a mini cake and ended up throwing half of it out. I felt terrible.
