The Kids' First Concert

Everyone remembers their first concert, right? Mine was, embarrassingly enough, to see Cher. I actually took my Mom for her birthday. Well, I took her, meaning it was my idea but she paid. Hey, I was in middle school! Anyway...Cher wasn't quite my taste, but my mom loves her, and I was just excited to go to an actual real live concert! Cher put on quite an impressive show so all was not in vain. (It was the year of  If I Could Turn Back Time, so yes, we saw THAT outfit).

This past weekend my littles went to their very first concert. It wasn't exactly Cher, but truth be told...it was much more fun!

We visited our local PBS station where we met Curious George, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and the Cat in the Hat. Aren't you jealous?! Mister Aiden wasn't about to meet and greet large talking animals, so he hid in the corner with Daddy. Savannah on the other hand? That girl was all about some high five action! She marched right up the characters and smiled and laughed and squealed. It was the cutest thing ever!

After a little mingling with the PBS superstars it was time for the big event.....Mr. Steve!!

You know, the "line, line, circle, circle, square square square square, triangle triangle, line" song. Yeah! He was super fun and interacted with all the kids while he performed. Miss Savannah tromped right up to the stage. No fear, this one.
Aiden came out of his corner once Mr. Steve sang The Bear Hunt (Aiden's absolute favorite thing in the entire world!). Even still, he wasn't about to go up by the stage. He was perfectly content to sit in the last row and nod his head in time to the music.

We had such a great morning at PBS, and Aiden is still talking about Mr. Steve. Huge huge thanks to our local PBS station for hosting such a fun event!

Keeping it real: I was not compensated for this post, and my family purchased our own tickets for this event.

I love this!
My kids are night and day like that too. J will not go near anyone in costume, and Jack thinks they are there just to see him! ;)

That looks like so much fun! AND HOLLY CRAP, it looks empty! Dude, I don't know if it's the complete lack of things to do around here, but that would have been a nuthouse.

We love Steve Songs :)
