September 16 Is National Play-Doh Day!

I have a confession. I did not enjoy Play-Doh when I was younger. I wanted to! I saw all the cool Play-Doh playsets in the store and wanted to like them. But every time I played with Play-Doh I got bored. I guess I've always been wired a little different.

My husband on the other hand? LOVED Play-Doh when he was little. He never had any of the cool playsets, so it was just him, a can of Play-Doh, and his little boy imagination. I really hope my son takes after his dad when it comes to imaginative play, so I was excited to try out one of Play-Doh's newest playsets, the Play-Doh Burger Builder.
This set comes with everything your child needs to create Play-Doh burgers, complete with tomatoes, lettuce, buns, and pickles. The set even includes a Twist-A-Chip tool to create Play-Doh potato chips! We sat down one night as a family and opened our Play-Doh Burger Builder set. Aiden could not wait!

Aiden isn't quite three, so he wasn't able to work most of the playset by himself. That's okay though, because he had tons of fun trying.

The Play-Doh Burger Builder set kept Aiden (and his dad!) occupied for quite awhile. Play-Doh has released a few other "food" play sets this Fall, including a Spaghetti Factory and a Magic Swirl Ice Cream Shoppe.
