SCOTT Naturals; GIVEAWAY

Winner #235 has been notified

We try to be as eco-conscious as possible in our home. Some adjustments have been fairly easy (switching to cloth diapers), and others weren't (making my own laundry soap). Even though some eco-friendly choices haven't worked out for me, I'm still always on the lookout for ways to green up our lifestyle.

I was offered the opportunity to try out a new line of paper products by SCOTT, called SCOTT Naturals. The line features four paper products, each with differing amounts of post-consumer recycled fiber. The paper towels and bath tissue are also packaged in post-consumer recycled plastic. We tried the bath tissue, which I thought wasn't quite soft enough. What can I say? I'm a TP snob. The paper towels were rougher than the brand I normally buy, but I think I can definitely make the switch to SCOTT Naturals towels, since they are more eco-friendly. We also tried the napkins, which were quite soft.

If you're interested in making bigger eco-friendly changes in your home, SCOTT Naturals has that covered. They teamed up with Kahi Lee to produce a series of short videos focusing on home remodeling the green way. You can check out the SCOTT Naturals Green Done Right YouTube channel for more information.

**WIN IT**

To celebrate the National Launch of SCOTT Naturals, I have a Green Gift Bag for one lucky winner. This reusable tote will be full of SCOTT Naturals product coupons, a reusable water bottle, green light bulbs, and cleaning products from Clorox Green Works.

To enter, leave a comment letting me know one step you've taken to "go green" in your home.

To earn extra entries:
1. Share this giveaway on any social media site (Twitter, Facebook, etc).
2. Blog about this giveaway.
Please leave a separate comment for each thing you do.

Comments will close at midnight, September 6. Winner will be chosen by random.org drawing and notified by e-mail. Winner will have 48-hours to claim prize. Giveaway open to US addresses only.

Blogger was provided with SCOTT Naturals bath tissue, towels, and napkins to do this review.

I am slowly getting switched over and trying to be as green as possible-we have been looking at a new car and are going for a hybrid, when we get new appliances we look for energy efficient. I admit its a challenge, one thing I do lack in is the chemicals right now. I have switched over the bulbs and unplug and have shower savers. I want something to left around for my grandkids and great grandkids.

First was getting the trash to half size: compost vegies, recycle, reuse, use cloth totes instead of paper or plastic, find a corporation that takes more than the county recycles like Whole Foods takes #5. Organize before using the car, so one trip does multiple errands. Plug into the GPS where I have to go and let it decide the route.

Knowing that every bit helps.

We compost anything we can and grow veggies in a couple of raised beds in the backyard.

We have recycled EVERYTHING we can for a long time. We have recently also really emphasized using reusable items instead of disposables such as rags instead of paper towels, cloth napkins instead of paper, etc.

Thanks so much!
