You know what's depressing? Back To School shopping. You know why? Because all those nice new things you're spending piles of money on? Some will surely leave your house and never return. The jacket will be left behind, the soccer cleats will be separated and only one will end up in the gym bag, the binder will be forgotten at the library. You've been through this too? And when they get to high school it gets even worse; MP3 players, CDs, cameras...
What if you could slap a sticky label on everything your kid owns, ensuring the items would make their way back to your doorstep? Well, you can! Lovable Labels makes a sticky label for everything you could imagine. When they offered to send me their "Back To School Mega Pack" I said, "bring it on". Maybe this will be the year of no lost MP3 players, the year of not having to prove which flag is hers in Color Guard, the year of peace. Sounds good, right?
Lovable Labels "Back To School Mega Pack" includes 15 sticker labels, 60 slimline labels, 48 Press N' Stick Clothing DOTS, 16 shoe labels, 2 mini-metal tags, and 5 book/binder stickers. I put these babies to the test before telling you about them, and I am confident that they're worth every penny! These were my faves:
Sticker labels:
These come in a few different sizes. I tested the slimline ones, pictured below.
I affixed one to Tupperware lid. Over the course of a few weeks, that lid was microwaved, refrigerated, and run through the dishwasher multiple times. The sticker label never budged. it didn't even fade or crack or warp!
Shoe labels:
These labels are specially sized to fit in the heel of a shoe.
I put the shoe labels inside my husband's work shoes. I sincerely didn't expect to have a good outcome, folks. But here we are, a few weeks later, and those labels are still in there! And they still look just as good as they did when I first applied them! If they can endure the jungle environment inside my husband's work shoes, they must be good.
Press N' Stick Clothing DOTS:
These clothing labels don't have to be ironed! Which is good for those of us who are allergic to ironing. Ahem.
I placed a few of these on some garments, and made sure they were worn and laundered as often as possible. After a few weeks the labels are still on there, just as strong as the day I applied them. No fading, peeling, or cracking!
I've really been impressed with Lovable Labels. And since Lovable Labels is a mom-created company I feel good about supporting them. They have a ton of other products too, including household labels and wrist alert bands.
