Little Debbie 100-Calorie Snack Cakes: GIVEAWAY

The other day the most amazing package arrived on my doorstep. The clouds parted, and the angels sang as I opened the box and peered inside. I about fainted when I saw six...SIX!! boxes of Little Debbie snack cakes. Dear Lord I'd gone to Heaven.

As any good Southern girl will tell you, we like our Little Debbie cakes in these parts. In elementary school, my friends and I always traded our Little Debbies at lunch. As an adult, my husband and I try to limit our Little Debbie consumption...but I gotta tell ya, nothing makes that man happier than if I bring home a big ol' Fudge Round.

Well, Little Debbie went and made 100-calorie snack cakes, so I don't have to deprive myself quite as often. Here's the treats they provided me for this review:




Are you hungry yet?!?! My teen liked the yellow cakes the best....my husband liked the chocolate cakes, and my favorite were the Cookies and Creme cakes. I'm actually embarrassed to tell you how many of those I ate at once. The 100-calorie thing definitely didn't sink in with me.

For reduced calorie snack cakes, these are really good. My only complaint is the size. Naturally, they're tiny..almost bite-sized. That's good in a sense, because it gives you a taste of something sweet without blowing your entire daily caloric intake. On the other hand, it's just enough of a taste to make you good and mad and wanting more. In which case you'd end up eating 300 calories or so before satisfied, thus defeating the entire purpose of buying 100-calorie cakes in the first place. (not that I'd ever do such a thing).
