Bella Sara Trading Cards; Review and GIVEAWAY!

When I was little, I collected Garbage Pail Kid cards. Anyone remember those? I'd trade with my friends, hoping to build a complete set. When my daughter was younger, she collected Pokemon cards. She traded with friends, amassing a HUGE collection, and becoming quite adept at the Pokemon game as well. Today's young girls have Bella Sara cards to collect and trade. Bella Sara cards feature a make believe world of magical horses and other characters. The cards are complemented by a virtual online world, with games, stories, puzzles, downloadable wallpapers, and printable activities. Each card pack includes special codes to be entered at the Bella Sara website, which "unlock" horses, castle rooms, and prizes.

Bella Sara cards and virtual world are really cute and quite girly. They also promote positive messages, with each card featuring a positive, inspirational quote. I think I or my daughter would have enjoyed Bella Sara had it been available to us. I'm not generally a fan of any virtual worlds or gaming for kids, but I do like how Bella Sara online ties in with the Bella Sara trading cards. I don't see Bella Sara online as a place where girls would zone out for long stretches of time. It seems to be quite interactive, and provides plenty of offline content, which I really like.

As a member of Team Mom, I was sent two packs of Royalty cards for this review. Royalty is the ninth series of Bella Sara cards, released this month. The cards will be carried at most major retailers (Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, etc) and will retail for $2.99 a pack.
