I've never been a big sun worshipper. Even though I grew up in The South, I was never one to lay out and tan or frolic in the heat of the day. Instead, I slathered on sunscreen and tried my best to cover up and seek shade...even as a child. All the years I spent being teased for my paleness have paid off though. As it turns out, avoiding the effects of the sun is now considered cool! Since a great deal of long-term sun damage occurs during childhood I'm especially diligent about protecting my kids. I stock up on sunscreen and apply it every few hours when we're outside, and we avoid the peak hours in the afternoon. But as focused as I am on protecting my kids, I want them to be able to enjoy themselves outside as much as possible.
I had the opportunity to try out Baby Banz sunglasses for kids, and their accompanying Bucket Hats. Baby Banz are sunglasses designed for kids. They feature an adjustable Neoprene band that fits around the child's head, ensuring a perfect fit. The lenses block the entire spectrum of UVA, UVB, and UVC rays, and the frames are BPA and Phthalate free. They can even be fitted with prescription lenses, if needed. The Sun hats are a cotton polyester blend, which makes them breathable, and have a sun protection rating of UPF50+.
My youngest kids were each sent their own Hat and Baby Banz Gift Set to get them ready for summer. Aiden has worn his hat and glasses every single day since they arrived. He puts them on, gives a thumbs up, and says,"Cool dude". That he is!Savannah is only three weeks old, so she isn't quite as excited about her glasses. We haven't been able to get a good fit on her yet, as the band seems a little big on her head. But there isn't a lot of extra room, so I'm sure they'll fit her soon. She does enjoy her big floppy hat though, and is quite the Southern Belle in it, don't you think?
The hats are adjustable as well, so you can get a nice fit and have room to grow. I love the big floppy brims, which cover their entire face, ears, and neck.
The Baby Banz hat and glasses sets are available in two sizes; ages 0-2 and 2-5. They retail for $27.00, and can be purchased at Baby Banz. I definitely give these products my own thumbs up. Make sure to grab a set before you head out for your Summer fun!

So my siblings are pretty much the bomb ;)
We got those when Caitlyn was younger and she hated the sunglasses. The hat never really stayed on her head either.
Glad you have had better luck with them.
