Real NYC Stories And Dove Go Fresh: GIVEAWAY!

**Winner is georgie c. of An Electric Island! Congrats, and enjoy!!!**

Do you remember a few weeks back I told you about the Real NYC Stories that would be airing after Gossip Girl? I'm here to remind you that the very last episode in this series airs Monday night! Here's the trailer I shared with you:

If you've missed the first three webisodes let me bring you up to speed on the featured women.

Lara Meiland-Shaw: co-founder of a Lara Hélène Bridal Atelier and philanthropist

Faythallegra Coleman: emerging Brooklyn-based filmmaker and writer

Chrissie Miller: fashion designer and founder of the Sophomore apparel brand

Monday night, we'll meet Dani Stahl: style director for Nylon magazine, jewelry designer and “IT” girl. You can catch the first three webisodes of the Real NYC Stories at the Gossip Girl: Real NYC Stories Website. Stay tuned for the last commercial break of Gossip Girl on Monday night to meet Dani.

The CW partnered with Dove Go Fresh to produce this series, and I'm going to give one of you the chance to experience Dove Go Fresh for yourself! Dove Go Fresh is a line of bath and body products with amazing fragrance combinations.
  • Burst: juicy nectarine and white ginger
  • Refresh: clean waterlily and fresh mint
  • Energize: sparkling grapefruit and lemongrass
  • Cool Moisture: crisp cucumber and calming green tea

I got the chance to try the Burst line and let me tell you...AMAzing! When I opened the package I was instantly in love with the fragrance. And I'm not even a "peachy scent" kind of girl. But this smells sooo yummy!!!!

**WIN IT**
I have a Dove Burst Prize Pack for one of you! The Prize Pack will include a body wash and body bar in the awesome Burst fragrance.

1. To enter, visit the Real NYC Stories and check out the video clips. Leave a comment letting me know which girl (and the pressures she faces!) you most relate to, and why.

2. To earn a second entry, tweet this contest. Then come back here and leave a second comment letting me know you tweeted. Include your status link, or @ me in your tweet (@give_me_a_latte) for your comment to count!

Comments will close at midnight, Wednesday May 20. A random winner will be chosen on May 21 and notified by e-mail. Winner has 48 hours to respond before I choose another. Open to US and Canadian addresses only.

I most relate to Lara. She marches to her own drummer, as I do, and can often find herself at odds with the world, which wants to impose its own restrictions one her/my thought and opinions and actions. The pressure to conform is great, and she doesn't cave.

I'd say that I am probably most like Chrissie in that I absolutely love anything vintage and I haunt thrift shops and rummages and estate sales lol, also - it's kinda funny, but I've noticed this for years regarding my choice of friends- they are such a varied 'mix' of personalities and, even sometimes they don't like each other but I'm kinda the common denominator that brings them together -- ! Plus I think both Chrissie and myself are a little adventerous and carefree, fun loving type individuals. We take chances and make others smile.

I relate to Lara. Lara knows her own mind and relies on her own thoughts. She does not follow the crowd.

Since I am markedly older than all of these young ladies, I don't relate in most of the same ways--grew up in a totally different atmosphere. But I suspect Chrissie would be closest to the mark for me, especially the love of estate sales, etc.

It's a tough call because I see a little of myself in each one of the ladies. The paths I have chosen in life and why I choose them has often been against the better wishes of those closest to me, so I guess I am most like Lara. I think first with my head, always keeping in mind what my own personal beliefs are, even if they are the exact opposite of what others think. I know what feels right in my heart, and I also allow my heart to lead guide me down the right path, to help me to make decisions, and follow what I am most passionate about. I will never be a follower, I love that I am confident in the decisions that I make and if someone else is not in agreement with them, then it is their axe to grind, not mine. It was very, very interesting, and compelling to watch each one of these ladies and I commend Dove for sponsoring this! Thanks so much for the opportunity to enter.
