Did you know April is Soyfoods Month? I personally don't use too many soy products. I might partake in a Boca Burger here and there, but that's about the extent of it. My daughter on the other hand......she's a vegetarian and eats soy all the time. But don't let visions of veggie patties and blocks of tofu turn you away from trying soy foods! Soy has come a long way in recent years.
ZenSoy recently introduced me to their line of soy puddings and drinks. I thought it would be fun to sample some of the puddings and see how they taste, compared to traditional milk-based pudding. ZenSoy sent me four packs of Soy pudding (chocolate, vanilla, swirl, and banana) and I got down to tasting!
My daughter has had ZenSoy pudding before, but I hadn't. I tried the chocolate, and found it tasted very similar to milk-based pudding. It had a nice, tasty chocolate overtone....and no aftertaste. If I was in the market for a soy-based snack I would definitely turn to these puddings.
ZenSoy puddings are USDA Organic, lactose free, gluten free, and certified vegan. ZenSoy also does not use any genetically modified soybeans in their pudding production. Since I hear it can be difficult to find snack foods that fit some of those categories, I think ZenSoy is a great snack choice for anyone with an alternative diet. (**obviously I'm not a doctor or nutritionist. If you do have food sensitivities and/or allergies in your home, please do your own research!**)
Thankfully we have no food allergies in our family, and don't have to be super careful about the foods we bring into our home. What about your family? Do you use many soy products? Have you ever tried ZenSoy puddings? I'm not super knowledgeable about soy in general, so I'd love to hear your thoughts!
