Yoplait Get Active Prize Pack Giveaway!

Ah, Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods. I'm ready to get outside and run around with my kids and have some fun. Well, run being a metaphor for "sit on my very pregnant butt and watch my husband chase them around". Yoplait heard my cry and sent me a great Get Active prize pack (pictured above).

We're big fans of Yoplait in this house. My husband can easily eat two or four single-serve Yoplait yogurts a day. My toddler has a love/hate relationship with yogurt. He'll eat it every day for weeks, then he won't touch it for a few more weeks, then he's back on it again. But Yoplait Kids and Gogurt are two of the brands I regularly buy for him.

Yoplait tells me that fewer than half of all kids ages two to twelve get the calcium they need each day. As we all know, calcium builds strong bones and is important at every age! Since there's only so much milk a person can drink, I like serving Yoplait yogurt as a snack to ensure we're all getting a little extra calcium. (Plus, it just tastes good!!). Another way to build (and maintain) strong bones is by exercise. So the combination of Yoplait yogurt and outdoor play is a delicious and fun way to keep my family healthy!

My Hubby and I...although my grown kids are joining in :)...we are now going to the YMCA together and we walk three miles to the library and get our books and movies and walk three miles back...about twice a month!
We also started riding our bikes together...at 50 and 51...we feel much younger and it is sexy to work out together! :)

We love to go walking or I walk, while the kids ride their bikes. The kids also enjoy playing football when their all here. I just haven't gotten that brave yet. lol

In the summer we go for lots of bike rides. In the winter, the most I work out is watching my daughter play indoor soccer!

I plan to get more active this summer by taking Brea swimming and to the park a lot!

We started dancing at nighttime. sure, my 3 year old likes to rock out to Guns N Roses but it keeps her (and me) jumping up & down to the music.

When the weather is nice, we love to be outside playing games. Inside, we have several games we like to play that make us get up and be active.

Now that the weather is nicer we go on a bike ride after dinner, instead of letting our DD sit down and watch Dora while she drinks her milk.

My daughter (age 17) and I both have memberships at a local gym. Its a lot more fun to exercise when we go there together!
