How's your photography skills? Are you happy with the quality of the pictures you take? I know I have a lot of room to improve. I play around with the various settings on my camera, and take a ton of photos at different angles and distances. I toy with different light sources and intensities. And sometimes I still get poor photos. Every once in awhile I get those really spectacular shots, but I'd really like them to happen more often!
Nikon has teamed with Carson Kressley to help those of us who are photography challenged! They launched a website, Look Good In Pictures, which includes a plethora of photography information and helpful videos.
Look Good in Pictures is a unique new series starring style guru and television personality, Carson Kressley. Carson shares entertaining and helpful insights and will give real practical advice on how to embrace photogenic qualities in a variety of everyday situations such as vacations, holidays, nights out on the town and weddings.
Several professional photographers share their tips and tricks on getting those perfect shots, no matter the situation. Here's my favorite episodes from Look Good In Pictures.
Taking flattering pregnancy portraits
Photographing a newborn
Photographing an older baby
Each short video provides lots of information about lighting, posture, and background. I took notes and can't wait to implement them when our baby arrives in June! Look Good In Pictures has an Ask Carson section that includes Q&A with the photographers, where you'll find even more information on photography. Check out Look Good In Pictures and let me know which episodes pique your interest!
