Thankful Thursday; A

Every Thursday I'll be blogging about things I'm thankful for.....one week for each letter of the alphabet! (I'm sure some weeks will be shorter than others!!). I've noticed other bloggers do similar things and I thought it would be a GREAT way to stay focused on positive, uplifting things. So for my first week, I'll start with......

"A" Things I'm Thankful For:

Aiden, naturally...my incredibly sweet little man. Not a day goes by that I don't find myself thanking God for giving me such an amazingly sweet little boy. He didn't come in my time, nor his father's time...but in God's time. And he has changed our lives so much....the people we were when I got pregnant...well...I don't even think WE'D recognize ourselves in those faces anymore.

Air Conditioning.....I do NOT handle heat and humidity well. And I live in Southeast Georgia. It doesn't get much worse, except maybe a jungle or the Amazon. So I am very thankful for my AC that runs well and keeps my house nice and cool.

Automobile.....we may only have one, but it's reliable and gets great gas mileage, which is awesome since my husband has such a long commute. I don't have to worry about him breaking down because it's a good car....and God has pretty much paid for it too. (In very awesome and inspiring ways, we have been given the money (multiple times) to make large payments on our car loan....we haven't made a monthly payment in years. God is GOOD ya'll!).

America.....I may not like the political and economical climate of our country, but I am thankful to be here. There are some mighty bad places on this Earth...places where I would be killed for my faith, or my gender. So as much as I may complain about our leaders or our culture or our "American ways"...I am thankful to be here, where I *can* freely complain :-)

And.....that does it for the "a"s. My brain isn't coming up with any more, even though I'm sure there's tons!! How about you...what's an "a" that you're thankful for today?
